Usually ends up being the washer basket hub which gets torn up over time. Of course that's obvious to spot if the drum has trouble starting it's spin or continues to spin after motor shut down. The teeth on the plastic hub wheel will grind off. I have taken several apart over the years and 90% of the time it was the hub. Easy job and $8.57 Amazon each time, but expensive repair if they had called someone out. Just me helping neighbors. Both agitator and impeller models are the same set up.

And yes, search youtube for the style of washer for suggestions, then read into the comment sections to see what others say turned out to be their issue. Most brands are the same on the internal design. I have fixed several BMW and MBenz engine gremlins by reading the comments in a video.
