I can't get the nut off as I can't get the agitator to stop turning when I turn the wrench!
Argh. . and all the videos are like, "loosen and remove nut" and "I have already removed the nut, so we can proceed"

I need some tips on removing the nut and how to hold the agitator still without wrecking it.
Perhaps a 'strap wrench' on the agitator and a second person to hold it would help getting the nut loose. I suggest this type of wrench as it should cause the least or no damage to the agitator. Any of the hardware stores or harbor Freight should have these, mine did not make it south.
