Are you talking about Apple’s Keychain? The security of Keychain technology is considered by experts as good overall. One practical disadvantage of Keychain is its use is limited to Apple devices. While your passwords set up on your Mac Keychain can be used by your iPhone (if you have an iPhone), you cannot natively access your Keychain passwords on non—Apple devices you use now or in the future such as Android phones and Windows computers.

I use subscription-based 1Password that was designed for Apple devices but can be used and passwords accessed across non-Apple devices.
