I would contact NuTone (Broan) for the correct light or call a company like Lighting Supply to verify size and what you need. You could also call an authorized repair center to get the bulb.
I find that many times buying off Amazon, the seller name may be the actual company name, but they are in fact not. They may be an affiliate of some sort that legally can use the name according to Amazon, but they sell "scratch/dent/2nds/refurbished" products. The light size could very well be a 2nd, improperly made and being sold for general use. Probably won't last as long as actual company product sold directly by the actual company.
I ran into the same issue replacing the turntable motor on microwave with a Bosch store on amazon. Finally got the right one from the actual Bosch company website and was told this info when I called them.
You just have to do your due diligence before buying on Amazon. I still buy frequently on Amazon for repair items, but spend the extra few minutes verifying. Good Luck.
