I'm primarily a Safari browser guy also. I moved to it from Internet Explorer (Microsoft). If it helps any, the upper left Apple symbol is all about the machine itself. The other menu items will vary depending on what software app is active. Under the software name (i.e. - Safari) will have a drop down menu with a lot of familiar options. Moving along to File, Edit, View, etc. will all be similar. One thing to keep in mind, when trying to save or open files in another format, the Apple terms are Import and Export for those function. So instead of "Save As, then .pdf or .wpd or .doc" you would "export" to filename.doc
Hope this helps.
