I talked to the post office, the shipper and my credit card provider and the answer is "it says delivered". Simple as that. They said I could file a dispute, I would get a temp credit, then it would be reversed "because it was SCANNED AND DELIVERED."
The key was obviously put in the wrong box. It could eventually still show up if the person who accidently got it doesn't wear size 8 running shoe.
