Yes, if a patient can find those "clinical guidelines,
AND UNDERSTAND THEM, THAT'S FINE. But the majority of so-called medical information on the internet is garbage, usually snake oil sales pitches. But even legitimate sites such as Web MD so heavily edit content that it loses meaning---I had to have them pull 2 of the articles I wrote for them because the final version differed so greatly from my submission that I didn't want my name associated with it.
