Just curious. In your opinion what would make our courses "less boring"? Tree lined fairways? ---not going to happen. Mountainous terrain? This is Florida and all courses have the following in common: Their only defense is sand and water (with the possible exception of Copperhead). Also remember, these are not supposed to be PGA tour courses--the average golfer in TV is probably 70 years old and has a handicap over 20. If the courses are too difficult, you'll be looking at 5-hour rounds. The difficulty of a course is not just length---7 of Pebble Beach, 8 of Royal Troon, etc., so just playing back a tee does not necessarily add that much difficulty.
