The weather here is COLD and windy!
We put beach towels over our new bouganvillas (sp?) and hibiscus bushes. I don't know what else to do for them.
The little doves were crouching in a patch of sunshine behind the bushes today. I think they were trying to stay out of the wind. Rocky & the Rollers were supposed to be at LSL tonight, but even the drink shacks were closed. I was surprised that there were so many people downtown in this weather -- especially with no entertainment and no happy hour drinks. They must all be visitors from up north! The weatherfolks say we're having the longest cold snap in a decade.
We went to the craft fair at Spanish Springs this weekend. We wore wool coats and mittens, and we huddled inside Starbucks for some warmth and lattes. Most of the 5:00 movies at Spanish Springs were sold out. The Redbox machine at Sweetbay is out of order. Is everybody staying home and watching movies? There weren't many golfers on our golf course today. Mr. Judy even canceled his golf this morning, and that never happens! We're supposed to have another freeze tonight. It's hard to believe that just a few days ago we celebrated New Year's Eve outside on the lanai with the neighbors.
