Multiple friends wives refuse to cook now they are retired, because they already did their time. Both of our boys are excellent in the kitchen, making meals that rival any high end restaurant.

We always ask our friends, don’t they get tired of eating mediocre food everyday? Yes but doesn’t mean they will ever waste time in the kitchen. If we eat out once a week it’s rare, if we can make it at home far better, it’s worth 20 minutes out of my day.
While we go out twice a week, we do it for the friendship and not for food. We both cook and cooking together in the kitchen is something we have always done. What we cook at home is always better and healthier than what restaurants offer.

Our sons and daughter are all accomplished cooks though the younger son is the more adventurous cook. What I find interesting is how many guys assume that my wife does all the cooking.
