We have owned a Pegasus water softener for 9 years now. Other than paying a lot more for KCl, I haven’t seen any difference in water quality at the tap from the Kinetico unit I had for 30 years up north. Actually, I liked the Kinetico unit better as it was a dual bed unit and only recharged based on actual demand. Given our travel schedule, I unplug our Pegasus unit when we leave town for an extended period of time.
