I have cleaned out lint many times from phone charger ports. I use fine tweezers and pick it out.
I don’t recommend using anything like a Q tip because there are fine contacts in there that could be damaged.
Blowing air or vacuuming it out could work if the debris isn’t packed tight.
If you don’t know what you are doing, paying the guy 10 bucks would be a good idea!
