Anything around Corbin will have turnpike noise. It will most likely not be heard when inside but definitely hear it from outside. You also have the cement plant that can be noisy in the morning when everything is quiet. My recommendation is to be south of Barr Blvd where new homes are being constructed now. The advantage is the further south you are the further you are away from the turnpike because it runs from the NW to the SE.

Ultimately everyone is different on their tolerance to the noise. Some people hate it and some people say they get used to it. So really think about your tolerance to the noise. Another consideration is the turnpike is going to eventually be expanded from 4 lanes to 8 lanes. If the state decides to put up noise barriers that may help, but that is not guaranteed. Visiting yourself would allow you to determine for yourself.
