Had granite in our home on Long Island since 1997. Never sealed it, easy to maintain. Looked brand new when the house was sold.

We also gad a good quality sink which was imported from Germany. The manufacturer recommended Bar Keepers Helper to clean and polish the sink and also warned against using bleach or harsh abrasives.
The sink looked beautiful but was high maintenance
