I had run by my 224 613 Project in e-mails with the Sumter County Clerk of Court after one of my Jury Summons. I had been picked for jury duty and was waiting the room where the prospective jurors were kept. We were in there for most of the morning and then the Judge came in and said that the defendant had plead guilty to vehicular manslaughter and we could all go home. She had said that if he had not we would have been in for about a 9 week trial.

I had contacted the Sumter County Clerk of Court after my next Jury Summons via e-mail. I think I have had at least two of them from the Sumter County Clerk of Court over the past almost 20 years we have been here in the Villages.


Nothing but hard to come up with what to say in a courtroom under the watch of a judge.


The Federal judge up in Ocala in 2009 involving a case where a Hispanic cop was suing the City of Claremont and their police department for harassment from fellow workers for his writing his reports in Spanish thought I was hiding something in my answers to his questions. I did not know where to start with a lot of this. And then there are a lot of the members of the Claremont PD in the room.

I was removed from the Jury Panel as the judge thought I was not giving them the truth and nothing but the truth.

The jury held for the Claremont PD but the judge scolded the men in blue for their behavior.


I got out in time for the first showing that day of Avatar in IMAX. Or something like that at the Hollywood 16 Theater.
