I was free diving and swimming with the turtles, and when I surfaced I came up next to a boat. The boat was named “Slowhand” and Eric Clapton was sitting on the boat watching me. He called out to me to be sure I was OK and asked if I needed to board the boat for a rest and a bottle of water. In such a private and peaceful setting he was just a regular guy being very nice and friendly. I thanked him and told him I was fine. We chatted briefly and he was very interested in what sea life I was seeing. It was a cool experience. And I agree, Layla is my favorite song.
