We took the Brightline to Ft. Lauderdale for a cruise last fall. I agree about the comfort of the trip. The one problem I have is my limited mobility. Not that the train itself is not easy to board and ride but the station is a long way from where Villages shuttles drop off airport passengers. It's much easier if you can be dropped off at the station which has it's own entrance and address for car services.
Prices can be somewhat high for certain times of day. I've seen primier seating priced at $309 one way. Depending on whether or not you want to use seat selection, coach seats vary from $39 for some times to $89 for "smart" fares which allow seat selection. Getting to and from the port from the train station is not difficult especially if you use uber. Incidently first class seating included a coupon for $10 off your uber ride. All in all, we found it a comfortable and dependable way to travel to Ft. Lauderdale for a cruise.
