Before the current Trade Disputes, Canada had the following tariffs:
- Dairy products: Up to 298% (e.g., butter) and 245% (e.g., cheese).
- Poultry: Up to 238% (e.g., chicken).
- Eggs: Around 163%.
The tariffs were to protect Canada’s farmers.
