It has spread. There are several homes in our southern veranda neighborhood, and throughout our village with them. They change colors for various holidays throughout the year. You can’t even tell they’re there during the day. They don’t bother us, and we even considered them just for Christmas and a couple other major holidays but we found out they aren’t very reliable, and if they do die the only way to replace them under warranty is to send them back to the manufacturer. After spending upwards of a grand or two for installation that would be crazy because they’d need to be reinstalled again, so instead we put color changing bulbs in our outdoor light fixtures. We can easily change the bulbs ourselves if one burns out, plus they’re very subtle at night. They can all sync together or be individually controlled (remote control or app on phone), and can be set for different holidays or just soft/warm white or whatever color you want, or soft flickering like a flame. They can be set on a timer so we have ours shut off at 10pm except for the lantern on the post which of course has the electric eye and is on all night. Right now we have them on the Spring/Easter setting, which rotates through several colors you’d see in Spring flowers. We love them and so do our neighbors.
