Your confirmation bias is showing.
Bringing back the two stranded astronauts *was* all over the news. I don't watch the news yet I heard about it for days prior to the flight. I was sitting at a restaurant and heard cheers around the place as the capsule splashed down. If you didn't see it you weren't paying attention.
SpaceX was also all over the news for it, including the false claim that it was a rescue mission. A rescue mission would have brought them back sooner, in less than 286 days. It was reported in an article I can no longer find that the February return date was identified as far back as August 2024. February became March due to some problems at SpaceX but ultimately they came back as (re-)scheduled.

Why do people insist on making claims without looking them up first, do they really think no one will check? Proof by emphatic assertion rarely works.
