Good grief. They did choose the safe option after Boeing lost all credibility. The Falcon 9 rocket has a better than 99% success rate. The newest version, the Block 5 has a 99.75% success rate. These are the rockets that are launching at a rate of two or three a week from both coasts at roughly half the cost of the competition. You should be happy at the money he is saving us taxpayers. The only recent mishaps that I recall are a second stage booster failed to get its Starlink payload into the correct orbit. And a first stage booster fell over off a drone ship after landing.
The only thing that has blown up is the Starship which is still an experimental rocket that is not even for hire yet.
