The pope is a very holy person. I have been at a gathering once where he appeared, I was in a field very far from him physically. We had been out all night waiting for him, in the rain and it was almost freezing weather. It was worth it as the power of his presence could be felt the way a strong wind blows in your face.

Interesting, Tal, in my case my father was Roman Catholic and my mother was Lutheran. As a Lutheran she could not marry outside of her faith so my father “converted”. This was not easy for him because as a school-aged child he always wanted to become a priest. It was worth it to him as he loved my mother to his very last day. But in our basement, by his workbench, there on a nail, was a rosary, always.

I, myself, was confused, rebellious, believed in nothing. But there was this constantly nagging feeling, “Is there a God?” After years of searching I found the answer was yes. Then the next question was, what path should I follow, how can I get to know Him? Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam etc I was open to everything - all I wanted was to know the truth. It was the only thing that truly mattered to me. I’m not sure how but I was guided towards the Bible - all of it, old and new testaments. I’m still there.
