The parks in Middleton are reserved for use by Middleton Residents Only. This is posted on the signage at each of the parks. These parks are paid for by the assessments paid on their residential properties. Just as Villages residents get upset with "outsiders" using the amenities paid for by their Amenity Fee, Middleton residents are also entitled to the exclusive usage of the amenities they are funding, in this case the parks and pools located in the residential sections of Middleton.
As previously mentioned, there is a children's park located on the south side of Lae Sumter Landing that is open to the public.

Society is produced by our wants, and government by wickedness; the former promotes our happiness positively by uniting our affections, the latter negatively by restraining our vices. -
