Seems simple enough to add birdcage, or add to existing lanai. So many different plans with CYV.

But from your experience as a CYV owner what are you thoughts and experiences on modifying your backyard?

Just asking for info and guestimate on how much it would cost (and community pushback) for simple addition of birdcage, small cement foundation for hot tub, etc.

I think the high turn over rate after one buys property at TV is because there was not sufficient info on what could be done to your property after you purchase it. I wish to avoid that nonsense.
It was always made very clear on every home or lot we looked at which needs could be accomplished. Especially CYV, we didn’t bother looking at any CYV only one model, and had to be a corner lot worked. So unless you covey you needs you probably won’t be happy.

So not sure what high rate of turnover definition is. Three most common reasons one sells is Grandkids (move out) Death, (smaller house) or Life change (need larger to adapt for ada) after that it’s a want of a newer house, new Village, away from traffic, neighborhood, 1.5car garage barking dogs, noise factor or the walls of CYV.

What are your setbacks? Your paperwork can give you a rough idea of possible expansion. As long as ARC approved, your neighbors have zero input.

Multiple CYVs have property that, Garage, Bedroom, or pool have all been added. As long as setback allows, and $$$$.
