I too thought of Costco: I've never read anything bad about their hearing services. However UHC won't budge on that: Costco isn't in their "Provider network". I pointed out to them that If I went anywhere else BUT to Costco I'd undoubtedly be spending the entire $2,500 plus a big chunk of my own change. If I went to Costco however, the two models that they sell (Philips and Jabra) start at $1,599 including charger. Of course there would be upgrade possibilities but in all likelihood I'd be saving the insurance company something like $500 or so. Didn't seem to matter.
I am thinking about appealing that.
