As others have said, lithium batteries don’t fare well in the heat (or the cold, but that’s not relevant in the Villages). I keep our e bike and cordless power tool batteries in the house when we aren’t there during the hotter months. Other things that don’t do well in the heat, and are better off in the house during the hotter months, include aerosol spray cans (things like silicon, WD40, garage door lubricant, etc…), paint, and stain. Also, it’s best to leave gas tanks totally filled if left for long periods of time during the hot and humid months. There is little to no room for condensation to form in a filled tank, which can lead to unwanted issues.
