I already use Flonase at night and Zyrtec in the morning. The combination has worked well for a couple of years, but congestion and inflammation has returned. Add to that a weak spot resulting from "roto-rooter" surgery some years ago, which easily ruptures into spontaneous nosebleeds, and I'm not keen on waiting 2 months to see an ENT.
BTW. Thanks Margaret. But a gentle saline spray just awhile ago broke that weak spot and left me with yet another nose bleed. I can't imagine what the machine might do.

If you are taking NSAIDs, aspirin, or any other blood thinners for any reason at all, you might want to check with whatever doctor prescribed it to see if you can reduce the dosage. I know if I take more than 1 full-strength NSAID or aspirin in a single day, AND I bend down (like to tie my shoe or pick something up from the floor) I'll get a nosebleed that day. I'm not really much of a "bleeder" but the walls inside my nostrils are pretty thin.
If you don't /need/ to take aspirin for medical reasons, but have been taking it anyway, stop taking it.
