Looking for senior baseball players ⚾️

Have you dreamed about playing real baseball again like you did when you were a kid? Well, we are looking for baseball players right now! That’s right, there is actual baseball being played in and around the Villages! The Villagers Baseball Club, known as the Villagers Vintage Cubs, will be holding an open tryout/practice for all players 61 and over interested in playing Men’s Senior Baseball.
There will be two different days you can try out for the team. The first date is Tuesday, May 27 at the Lady Lake Baseball Complex behind the Lady Lake library at 225 W Guava Street, Lady Lake. The second date is Thursday, June 5 at the same location. Both tryout/practice days will start promptly at 9AM. In case of rain, new dates TBD.
The team will play this fall in the Land O’Lakes Senior Baseball League on Sundays with the season beginning late August and running through early November.
Everyone from the area is invited to try out for this team! So bring your glove and shoes or spikes and simply lean in! (If you don’t have a wooden bat, one will be provided.)
