From what I can see, AT&Ts fiber internet pricing is close to Quantum's so existing customer's may be OK. One thing I can tell you having worked for Verizon for 30 years is any "merger" or purchase, or whatever deal made when one company buys another companies business always changes over time. Look at Verizon selling it's fiber to Frontier then years later Verizon bought the business back. What we are seeing is large telcom companies aquiring as much fiber as they can get because fiber internet and fixed wireless is the future as we see cable die over time.

Quantum has been installing new fiber in many existing Villages. I helped sign-up a Villager in Liberty Park the other day. Apparently, Quantum is expanding a lot in this area. These are generally areas where Xfinity is the only service provider option.

So, I guess we will have to wait and see what happens. I'm pretty sure we won't see any changes here for a while because the deal closes in 2026 and it takes time to make any significant changes.

Does this mean if you were thinking of switching to Quantum, now is the time before the purchase?

When I talk with my neighbors her in Bradford Village almost everyone can't wait for fiber so we can get rid of Xfinity & Spectrum. Cross fingers but not holding my breath...
