It's interesting that Bradford, Chittychatty, all the way to SawGrass has no fiber. Fenny and most of DeSoto does have Quantum.
Makes you wonder if some sort of "deal" was made to keep fiber out. Fortunately, that strategy failed because in all the new areas south of SawGrass Centric Fiber installs the fiber service when the house is built. I can't believe many are connecting to cable in these areas.
North of 466A Quantum is expanding because the main fiber line runs there so all they need to do is tap off that existing infrastructure. South of Rt.44 I believe there is no "main fiber line" so it may be a while before they expand into that area.
But I feel your pain. Without choice you are probably paying full price after the first year for cable in those areas.

I can tell you in the new build developments right outside the Villages in Wildwood, Quantum is available and the Quantum tech's tell me they are working overtime installing new service.
With this AT&T deal, it's probable we will see even more fiber expansion in the Villages and for sure more service options. This is unfortunate for the cable companies since they will have more pressure to reduce prices and profit.
