I have just recently had my first visit to a neurologist. I got my recommendation from my primary care doctor. I am guessing that there are many issues that a neurologist may address or even specialize in.
I would be skeptical of feedback on this forum specifically since you may get answers that don't necessarily address your issue. For instance, some may be better addressing Epilepsy or Parkinsons and others neuropathy or balance etc.
Others may cite timeliness, patience, or some other item such as availability.
My issue is balance and eyesight changes. The balance issue relates to a Vertigo event traced to my left ear, but with the onset of double vision, lack of balance improvement with therapy, etc, looking for other possible influences. May lead to no other cause but trying to check all options. My neurologist checking all balance issues.
But is that the same as Parkinsons, etc.
Bottom line is better to get expert info from people who know your specific need.
