One thing I can suggest is be patient and have fun. As far as your question I would not hesitate to try different pros. Do not think there is something wrong with your game if you cannot do what the pro is asking. The game is very challenging and pros are very different, some mechanical, some feel, and frankly some are just not good . Find a pro that make you feel comfortable and is helping you improve.

Sounds like some good suggestions posted here. IMO, learn the grip, posture and basic swing then go try it. It is amazing how many people never learn the grip or posture, you get those right you are ahead of most golfers.

As you take that lesson(s), read Ben Hogans 5 fundamentals to golf. It is beautifully illustrated, and you will understand why a pro is saying what they are saying. This book is timeless and very easy to read.

The other key for you to understand is people will continuously be "helping" you with your swing. Be very careful here , be polite and say I am see a pro.
