Personally, I love them. I have a few. I hang most in our enclosed lanai, they sound quietly when the doors are open. The biggest one is hung outside the front door, near my kitchen window. Only I hear this one. I did ask my neighbors when I moved in and only one minded. The key is to be thoughtful to your neighbors. Be connected to them so you can talk out your differences.
