I switched from AAA to State Farm because -
SF would ensure my house for more at modest increase in rate
SF Auto was less than AAA which more than offset the HO rate
SF had NO DEDUCTIBLE (other than you policy) on sinkhole which may be the only company to do this
SF had a reasonable approach to aging roofs
SF had a convenient agent I can go talk to
SF had golf cart insurance
SF had flexible payment plans

I know I'm not offering an answer but suggesting you take a HARD look at the converages. I put HO, auto, golf cart, and umbrella all with SF. I did do research with other companies but always hit a snag on the HO due to the way they insured the aging roofs. I was dropped once for aging roof (11 years old) on a previous home in FL.
