Il Villagio?
So, it looks like Il Villagio has been shut down. It was a cute little place that offered free snacks and had some fun games. Full disclosure - I have been a dozen times and never left a loser, so I am fond of it.
What is the scoop on why it was closed down?
Rumor has it that the Hard Rock put pressure to have it shut down. The closest Hard Rock is in Tampa, its dirty and not really safe. Hard Rock Hollywood is slightly better. We get our gaming fix driving to Biloxi to stay at the Beau Rivage or fly to Las Vegas.
I always thought that it was a missed opportunity to collect some of the Villages disposable income and that Sawgrass should have become a casino/bingo hall/carnival games venue lol.
