I wish people would stop promoting the common myth that the Federal minimum wage does not apply to restaurant servers. It absolutely does apply them. It is either paid by the customers who pay tips or by the restaurant that hired the servers. But all restaurant servers must receive at least the Federal minimum wage. That is the law.
