Most people, 99% of all wifi users, don’t have their router/wifi setup properly. All of these 99% users use what the ISP provides which is garbage.
Every router can be accessed by the home owner, every router. Look on the bottom of the router and you will see the userid and password to use to get into the router to set it up correctly.
1st issue, what band are you using on your device? There are 2 WiFi bands and your iPhones/ipads/macs (I will never touch an android or windows device) should be using the more robust band for better speeds.
2nd issue, you should only have 1 ssid not the default 2, then your smart devices like apple devices will pick the better band when possible or drop down to the lower performing band when the signal strength is low, like going into a back bedroom or outside.
3rd issue, go into the router and change both bands to use auto channel configuration. If you have the smarts to look at the different channels on each band, then you can change auto to the more appropriate band, but I would leave it in auto mode.
If your device experiences a connection issue, go into your device’s network settings and refresh your network connection.
