Times have changed. In many states, minimum wage is somewhere near or north $20/hr. McDonalds pays over $20/hr in Colorado.
A college graduate with a decent degree (not Interpretive Dance Theory)
starts well north of $50k.
It's not hard to make $50k nowadays.
