Monthly bill in summer runs around $180-190.

I like to show the bill to our friends and relations in California who pay a minimum of twice as much. If their provider is the infamous PG&E, it is more.
In DP we had SDG&E. My bill in summer was $400+ and that was in the early 2000's. I mean we had a pool with new efficient equipment but NO A/C (ocean adjacent) and it was 20 years ago!
