Rory earned the right to skip the St. Jude. No different than a NFL or MLB team drawing a "bye" or "home field advantage", based on year long performance.
Only 1 golfer in the world was offered more to join LIV than Rory, and that was Tiger Woods. Rory passed. He's not in it for the money. He's golf's biggest star and he's earned it with his play.

According to Rory, he never received an offer from LIV.
