EGOT winners. Nothing but impressive. And I see that one of them is Mel Brooks who is the uncle of someone on Talk of the Villages. Not me. My father handled the claims of various famous people as an insurance adjuster/investigator/expert witness. He became the bridge partner of Mills Lane and his wife probably after appearing in a court with Mr. Lane presiding or prosecuting. Mr. Lane did give me some good advice about whom I should contact with my 224 613 Project as he knew the Mitchell family whose 19 year old daughter was murdered near the University of Nevada, Reno campus on 2-24-1976. The Mitchell family had given me and another youth a small Memorial Scholarship in Michelle Mitchell's name for the 1976-1977 school year. I used it for the University of Nevada, Reno. I had given the Mitchell family a drawing I had done that had been part of my wing for my Earl Wooster High School art show. It had reminded them of Michelle. Another student had the other wing with whom I visited a bit online probably within the past few years . 2-24 is also my birthday and Paula Zahn also has it. She did a very interesting segment on Michelle Mitchell's murder investigation. On the Case With Paula Zahn: Season 21, Episode 1 | Cast and Crew | Rotten Tomatoes
A few weeks after we learned of the murder of Michelle Mitchell on 2-24-1976 in a garage a few hundred feet from the University of Nevada, Reno Nursing Education building we had a cop come to talk to us . We had Mrs. Mitchell's student teacher helping while she was out.

The cop filled us in a little on the investigation but wanted to talk about a person who went to Earl Wooster High School --Thomas Lee Bean-- who had murdered an English Olympic skier Sonja McCaskie back in the early 1960s. The talk made us look at one another more than it should have. It made me want to find some kind of materials in local libraries even more. I had started looking for myself around February 28, 1976 in the downtown Washoe County Public Library. I could not find anything of use nor did the University of Nevada, Reno Library have anything of any practical use. Nothing but frustrating.

The killing of Sonja McCaskie is one of the most brutal that I have ever heard of . The cop had also gone into that in detail. The tabloids progressed after the McCaskie coverage because of how much blow back they received from advertisers and others.
