I believe that these facts basically sum up the current situation with respect to POTENTIAL hurricane strength. The Gulf temperatures CURRENTLY are at a RECORD 85 to 90 degrees which is the warmest EVER ON RECORD. Also the Atlantic close to the US coast is also the warmest on record. The size and strength of hurricanes depend on the temperature of the waters that they pass over. This summer Florida may or MAY NOT get lucky, but every year the World will get hotter (due to man's methane and CO2 production) and likely in the next 5 years - Florida will be hit with a Category 6 hurricane. I wonder how that will affect the price of coastal homes. Maybe even inland ones?
