I never expect the greens on the Executives to be the same as the Championship courses (different maintenance budgets), but I do expect the greens to roll decent enough so chipping and putting on them won’t ruin your short game when you play a Championship course. Since the refurbished Executive greens use the same preferred hybrid grass as the Championship courses (and maintenance companies), there is no reason the greens shouldn’t consistently roll somewhat close to the Champs. I suppose it matters less for folks that play exclusively Executive courses, since that’s what they’re used too, but it sucks for folks that like to play both types of courses. It takes several holes to adapt to the greens at Tierra Del Sol, after playing Chula Vista. A put that would only make it halfway to the hole at Chula Vista would roll past the hole and off the green at TDS, if it didn’t hit the cup. That’s just not right.
Agree 💯 %

There are a lot of executives that are in great shape including the greens .

Most executives below 44 are in great shape , Lowlands being one of the best!

And what some say that the bad conditions are caused by excessive play is only partially true .

Lowlands is the most often played executive in The Villages and I would rate that course an A + !
