That’s weird that ANY Dr would say his services aren’t needed! Your PC, if you use him properly, will manage your care and know everything about you. He can guide you in the directions you need to go. Specialists only know their specialty! I’ve heard others speak as you did and they are no longer here. Best wishes to you
