Interesting topic. You shouldn’t find real lappers swimming laps in anything but a regulation length sports pool with swim lanes and flags. Swimming laps in an undersized neighborhood or family pool simply doesn’t cut it. That being said, there are over 100 neighborhood and family pools, and only about a dozen sports pools, so the Lilly pads should stay out of the sports pools and not take up precious and very limited lap swimming spaces. Unfortunately, there are very limited lap swimming times allotted in the sports pools, other than very early in the morning or during dinner time. If there were more lap swimming time slots available in the prime time middle of the day, it wouldn’t be necessary for lappers to have to settle for the neighborhood or family pools.
