I agree that "negotiating" with a car salesperson is a waste of time. In this case, the OP is citing $2,085 in fees that are completely bogus. The only negotiation to be done is to tell the salesperson to remove the fees and to provide a competitive out-the-door price.

In my opinion, you will do better by selling your old vehicle to Carvana instead of trading it with a dealer.
