This sounds like a joke. I hope so. If it is not, then the intern politely gave you the finger.
Who would need exactly 50 sheets of paper and was too lazy to just get what he needed himself? Also, who would ascribe a behavioral characteristic to an entire generation by one instance of behavior by one individual.
