I had read that it was a strong suggestion not a "requirement," but maybe that changed because it was so controversial.
Since the PGA of America had already been donating $200K to charity in a players name, I'm wondering why they just don't say that the players are now getting the $200K (instead of $500K) and the USGA would be donating the rest, just like previously?
