At the price of a beer, I find it unbelievable also.
I have no doubt Victor Hovland was injured, and golf is a game of honor, but the rule certainly is open for abuse. A team captain could theoretically have a struggling player fabricate an injury to secure an unlikely half point.
Gotta give Europe credit, they know how to play team golf, as evident by the first two days of the event.
Yesterday afternoon’s showing by Rose and Fleetwood, against Scheffler and DeChambeau, was an unbelievable display of golf.
The crowd at Bethpage Black certainly didn’t put the reputation of New Yorkers in a more favorable light then already existed.
I also hate the split screen commercials.
I wish I could have Ludvig Aberg’s golf swing.
Tommy Fleetwood was very deserving of the Nicklaus-Jacklin award representing the best of the Ryder cup.
What are the odds that Shane Lowry wakes up with a nasty hangover tomorrow?
