The Mad Maxx portrayal may be a bit far out, however, life for future generations will be significantly more miserable. Think about a US economy today with shortages worse than some of us lived through in the 70's. No gasoline! Translates into no food stuffs in the stores. Translates to _ _ _ _ _ (what ever your imagination chooses).

We have a generation coming along called baby boomers. What sad name will be affixed to our future family members?

Unless something changes, life as we know it today is the best the future will ever hold with only a downside to face.
